
This year’s Forum program promises to be particularly rich and will cover a wide range of significant topics and issues. The main focus will be on the topic of “Environmental Well-Being of Regions and Cities.”
The main event of the project will be the Plenary Session “Advancement Strategy: Regional Dialogue as a Driver of National Environmental Well-Being,” which will focus on the prospects and synergies of joint interregional environmental initiatives to achieve national environmental goals ahead of schedule.
More than 60 events are planned for the Forum. Key events include:
- International Scientific and Practical Conference “The Universe of the Polar Bear”
- International Environmental Forum “Baltic Sea Day”
- Industrial Technology Forum “Regional Environmental Monitoring and Industrial Ecology”
- Regional Forum “Russian Ecological Society: Shaping an Intelligent Environmental Agenda”
A series of events will also be held on waste management, including construction, medical, organic waste, tire recycling, and other areas. Particular attention will be paid to creating a comfortable urban environment and unified approaches to developing a water-green framework for megacities.
To date, more than 15 representatives of regional ministries in the field of ecology, nature management, and environmental protection, as well as other sectoral ministries and departments, have confirmed their participation:
- Saint Petersburg and Leningrad Oblast
- Republic of Bashkortostan
- Republic of Karelia
- Kirov Oblast
- Primorsky Krai
- Komi Republic
- Ryazan Oblast
- Khabarovsk Krai and others.
